Colored Lenses: for the Perfect Image
Where to start if you decided to buy a pair of colored lenses? See your eye doctor at first, because if you choose unsuitable lenses, they can even harm your eyes. You could find lenses on supermarkets several years ago and buy them without prescription, but this kind of trade was forbidden due to a lot of complains about health.
Once you know what kind of lenses to choose, the funny part comes: you need to pick up the color. You should consider several things before you choose a color of the lens. Do you want to change your image, but you don't want to be in the center of attention? Do you want other people to guess why you look different? If you are looking for subtle changes, avoid drastic choices. Pick a pair of contact lenses that are same colored as your eyes, but choose different intensity. The good choice is a color that is similar to your natural one. If you are blue-eyed person, try on green or even gray lenses.
Are you bold? Do you want other people to notice the new color of your eyes? Do you want others to be astonished? If so, you should choose a color that is much different than your natural one. Brown-eyed people should choose blue, violet or green. Dare to pick up a pair of bright-colored lenses if your skin is dark. If your face is naturally cool-toned, ask for soft and warm color such as light brown or honey.
Have you noticed that eye shadows look better when they go with your eye color? Well with contact lenses, you can match your eye color to your make-up! The cool tones are the best for fair skin and light blue or green eyes. If your eyes are deep blue, try some pink and brown to highlight the coolness of blue. The darker your skin is, the darker tones (plum, purple, brown) you should choose to compliment the eye color. However, if you want your blue or green eyes to pop, choose light shades of warm colors. If your skin is light and your eyes are grey, you are a lucky one because you can use all the colors for eye make-up. If you want a subtle shadow on your eyelids, try some lavender or lilac; if you want to look bold, try silver and dark grey tones. Mauve and dark berries shades are the best to compliment brown eyes. If you are brown-eyed and your skin is dark, try some subtle light honey tones to highlight the deepness of your eyes. Although it's recommended to avoid direct combos (like green to compliment green), you can try to combine subtle shades to highlight the eye color.
As you can see, you can either choose make-up to suit your eye color or the eye color to match your favorite make-up! If you can't wait to change your look, think for a second: maybe the natural color of your eyes is the one that others would die for?
